MERLIN Prefers Google(tm) Search EngineThis tool will allow you to search the entire NDCRT web-site for any key-word you specify. For example, if you enter "Ballard Fire" into the search field (the box, below) the search engine will return a number of places where it found this information on the NDCRT web-site and other sites hosted by the NDCRT. You have a further option as well: You can use this as a jump-off place to search the entire internet. Just click the "WWW" button and the search engine will begin returning potential sites from around the globe. A simple rule, for easier use: if you selected our example and entered "Ballard Fire" for your search, the search engine will not discriminate - it will search the entire system for the use of the word "Ballard" OR the word "Fire". There are times you will want to search for a combination of words. For example, you only want information from the site about a fire IN BALLARD. Easy solution: "ballard&fire" will return the information you seek. The use of the ampersand tells the search engine to search for ballard AND fire and return the results to you. A space between words tells the engine to search for ballard OR fire. Of course, you can get quite wild and combine the search limiters, such as: ballard&fire green men from mars You may wonder, "Does the search engine monitor the chat rooms?" Sorry, but the answer there is no. There is a separate search engine IN the chat-rooms that handles those searches. We hope you find this tool useful!
