Seattle Fire Fighters' Memorial Fund Receives Boost from Seattle Employee Credit Union Seattle, WA The founder of the Seattle Fire Fighters' Memorial Fund, Don Kennedy of Seattle, reported that the Seattle Employee Credit Union has made a substantial donation of $15,000 toward the realization of the fund's goal to provide a memorial statue in Occidental Park, dedicated to the 31 members of the Seattle Fire Department who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of their community. "We hope the participation of the Seattle Employee Credit Union will encourage other financial institutions in the area to participate in this noble project to honor the lives of those men and women who have given so much to protect this community," Said Jim Fossos, a representatve of the association. A formal presentation of the check is scheduled for later this month.
