The number of properties is the number of hotels hosting evacuees, the number of rooms are the number of rooms in those hotels where evacuees stayed last night and the number of clients is the number of clients who stayed at those hotels last night.

[1] Overnight stays include the number of people in shelters X number of nights they have stayed in the shelters.

[2] Cases opened include those reported on Form 5266, Disaster Operations Control, through the Client Assistance System (CAS) and from Western Union.

[3] Workers include spontaneous volunteers, chapter volunteers who have never volunteered in Disaster Services, DSHR members and paid chapter and NHQ staff.

[4] As people enter the program through shelter closures, other people are departing because they are making the transition to longer-term housing.
