WHO WE ARE
SUMMIT is comprised of a number of citizens of Seattle who have taken on the task of improving the fire service we have all come to know and love. We believe that by looking out for the welfare of Seattle's fire fighters and paramedics, our entire community will benefit.
WHO WE ARE NOT
No voting member of SUMMIT is an employee of the City of Seattle. While many fire fighters and paramedics are consulted for relevant input, all final positions are wholy those of the organization. We have no other agenda than to improve the quality of life for the community by taking a small slice of a much larger pie and standing up for our position.
WHAT A MEMBER DOES
SUMMIT members meet to discuss strategies relevant to our state goals. From time to time members are pressed into service on political action projects, public speaking, investigations or other useful tasks. We encourage members to visit local stations and show support for the woemn and men of the Seattle Fire Department.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
To become a member you must meet the following criteria:
- Not employed by the City of Seattle
- Reside or own your business within Seattle city limits
- Agree to be an active participant on SUMMIT projects
- Voted in by Board of Directors
